Bears Ears

Photographs from an area the Mary and I have been exploring for the last 7 years. A magical place with Anasazi ruins, pot sherds, rock art in almost every nook and cranny. Last week in the face of opposition from the oil and gas and other extractive industry but with support from First Nations, President Obama announces that this 1.3 million acre wilderness now has National Monument status. Let us hope that this move doesn't get trumped
